Inca Mythology

Kuychi is the personification of the rainbow. His figure had multiple interpretations; however, his presence was mostly considered a bad omen, as he was associated with death and diseases.

Like other Andean gods, Kuychi is described as an ambivalent entity. The multicolored entity was considered a symbol of prosperity, but was also linked with the appearance of bad omens.
